The Broken Spoke

The Broken Spoke is an up-market bicycle shop located in Tamworth NSW. They specialise in expertly pairing the best bike to the customer, focusing on up-market road bikes and ebikes.

They are uniquely local, but well positioned to establish an fiercely competitive online presence with products that they’re the only Australian stockists for.

The Method

We flew up to Tamworth to sit down with the team and discuss their goals. They wanted a complete revamp, where they could sell online for the first time.

We got to work, focusing on building a user experience where customers could use an advanced filter to pinpoint the exact bike and products that were right for them. We also ensured that the design featured their exclusive products front and centre. And with thousands of products in their inventory, we ensured that the whole site would be easy for staff to manage and edit for years to come.

As we progressed in the build, we added a dealer portal. This ensured that no matter what type of customer landed on the site, they could find what they needed.

And it went off. The Broken Spoke became a nationally competitive brand online, complete with a website designed to specifically convert customers. The user experience focused on allowing the customer to filter and find what they needed, then call to speak to the industry experts to finalise things - a unique blend between online and offline that works especially well for their local presence.
